Totally agree!!!!

Last summer there were 90F outside and I let the car idle outside for some 5 minutes and the temperature hardly moved.

If it was my car I would say that josiahg52 are perfectly fine given the outside temperature. Based on my experience if the thermostat failed you would have read temperature in the 50s or 60s while cruising at 65 with -15 outside. That would indicate a problem even in a Diesel.
