RB, I looked at the Nicker? thread on the E46 site, which I believe you reference. Helpful. The question is how much of the CCV stuff I need to replace, compared to just cleaning it out, given that mine was done 30k miles ago just before I bought it and hasn't suffered through your yankee winters .... all in hopes of burning less oil? Might not be a cost/benefit there, though it would be a mental health benefit to know those pipes & valves are all minty-fresh, at least for a little while ....
