I also spoke to Greg today and shared my thoughts. Bottom line is with these BMWs they require a little more attention and it's nothing to fear for the return in driving enjoyment that they possess. The E53 X5 to this day is still one of my favorite BMW SUVs. The newer ones while they look nice have way more problems particularly as they get over 50K miles. They will require a lot more money to keep them going and endless headaches to the consumer. So to Greg I said if you like what you saw and pleased with the drive then buy it.
