Ohhhhh.. The ~6" speakers? Well.. here's what I can share ab that...

When removed from the door and OE mount, the OE speakers do not have a capacitor inline. The OE speakers as they were removed use the exact same connections as the new ones- JL Audio in my case. When soldered in place, the new speakers then also do not- at least from the solder to the speaker.

Now what I did not look for is a similar shrink wrapped connection on the OE speaker line into the door. If it's there, I think I would have noted it for the significance questions like this would satisfy.
