Fuel low pressure sensor

Vacuum pump
Valve gasket

They quoted me over 8,000 for the repair. I took it back to carmax the next day and threatened a return. They have agreed to repair all items for free at Bmw. My wife is now concerned that more issues will follow. Besides maintenance items that I know will come up are there any other major items that can break? I reassured her that we have a full warranty up to 100k miles with a deductible of 100 dollars per visit.

The car is immaculate cosmetically and has low miles. It has a clean car fax. Please help me justify keeping this car.

Thanks for reading

For starters good thing you have is the N63 engine and a warranty! I have a 2009 X5 (N62) engine with 168k on it now. That engine is strong but has so many flaws as far as seals. Luckily I perform all my own repairs and maintenance, if it wasn't for that the truck would have been sold early on. I didn't have a warranty on it because I been burnt by them before. The warranty I bought years ago for my Silverado didn't cover "seals". That includes Vavle Seals, oil pan, valve cover, rear main seal, etc.

Just keep that in mind befor you decide on keeping it. Does your warranty cover seals, read the fine print. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy my X5 but as with any car each model has it's common flaws. Try to do a some research to see if there are any major flaws that may come up on that model (N63 engine). I would Google search an look for key words X5 M forum. It would probably have more info for you. Hope this helps you decide and congrats on your new X.
