I can't see the part very well so I wasn't sure what to even match it to on a parts diagram, but what you wrote confirms more of what I thought it could be. It does give me motivation to delete the whole alphabet soup, because I'm sure that is an expensive part.

There is a whole slew of vacuum actuators on this system (I broke one of those nipples as well $160 new), but I'm guessing those aren't removable even if I deleted. This car was from Texas so I think the nipples are possibly more brittle than average.

So there are 2 blockoff plates needed for EGR on the X5 it sounds like when doing the delete.
