Alpinerunner is on a distinguished road
Just attempted this service last night. I wasn't able to get the trans case fill plug off. I only had a socket Allen wrench and it didn't cut very easily. I loosened the support bracket and pushed it back 1/2-1" but it wasn't enough. I ended up just sucking out what I could with my fluid transfer pump. Same for diff (there is no drain plug, stupidly). Both were below the full level by a good bit (1"?). The fluid I removed was amber, not clean but not dirty. I was able to get 1/2 liter of new fluid in each so I feel good. Better than nothing. I used Liquimoly GL5 75w-90 for both transfer case and rear diff.
