Based on info from the part database the siren you posted is a tilt/inclination siren that is also offered on the e85 Z4. When you pull up the Z4 diagram...it also lists the electrical connector (#11 in the diagram below) and when you click on its part number...it lists the e53 X5.

So it appears that this siren uses the same electrical connector as the regular siren (which also shares the same part number with the e85 Z4)...so it looks like it should be plug n play:

{Z4 diagram...click link below and note that #3 lists the same part nbr you posted and as well as in the X5's diagram...and #11 is the electrical harness used in multiple BMWs}
