Mine doesn’t have servotronic. It’s the plain ol rack & pinion directly connects to the steering.
Anyway.
I have fixed my issue. The problem was in the rack itself. I adjusted the preload nut on the rack by 1/8 a turn, this made the knocking go away completely but I found the steering was too tight and didn’t center properly. So I backed it off, but the knocking came back. After adjusting it 6 times or so I managed to get it to a place where it centres properly and isn’t tight but has minimal knocking. Below is a video of what it sounds like. It’s a million times better than what it was before.

It’s not perfect but it appears no car is?? I tried this same steering jiggle manoeuvre on 4 different cars with hydraulic steering and they all make the same noise.
Thanks for all the input guys. I hope this assists someone in the future.
