Tire question - sidewall cracks around it nearest to rim

Take a look at the tire codes on the sidewall then google what that means. It’s mostly a date code. Anything over five yrs old (less in a sunny climate) should be replaced regardless of tread depth.

I got a “great” deal n an RV once with deep tread on all 6 tires . Turns out they were nine yrs old an dry rotted. Expensive, slightly dangerous lesson since one of the tires blew at the top of the big bridge heading into Charleston. Almost made a big splash.

Sun is a tires worst enemy, causes the rubber to break down.
