Welp, I'd prolly do a mixture....

First, something has happened to yours. Jack it up, pop off the wheels, look at your springs and componets around the springs. IF anything is amiss, you will need to basically rebuild the struts. New bushes, rubber, etc. Maybe springs. Maybe the dampers (i.e. Shocks)

Now, there is a separate issue- the rest of the kinematic suspension- arms, bushes, sway bars, etc. This is always a challenged. I did I my E39M5 at 180k, and wound up replacing EVERYTHING. OE or OEM. Everything that had rubber or could wear. It was excessive. Subframe bushes, diff bushes, every arm, steering...motor mounts..guibo.. And on and on.
But most sane people draw a line.... I had it since new and wanted a new car again. It was a 2 month project...renting tools, etc etc

For yours, I'd probably recommend the 2nd or 3rd level of parts that gets worn. not subframe. Not diff. So sway bars mounts and links, upper and lower control arms, thrust bushes. Ball joints. Look at wheel bearings, but not sure.

Anyway, my random thoughts.....
