Purplefade is on a distinguished road
My thoughts:

- take a small flat piece of aluminum and cut it just as wide as the receiver block on the load floor
- cut the arch of the guide rod in to it (centered)

- mark the location of the two top holes
- drill the holes in the aluminum
- fill the holes in the receiver block with light weight construction adhesive
- push two small machine screws through the holes in the aluminum plate in to the construction adhesive
- clamp and let sit over night

Best part, it's removable in the future, you can back the screws out and easily drill out the adhesive if you'd ever want to..

OH - and put one of those little rubber bumpers on it from the back of a cabinet door :-)
