I had the fuel cap light on and the P1447 code. Replaced fuel cap, nothing. I inspected the evap lines, it was all OK then the solenoid also OK so I bought the canister and air pump which is a single component called DMTL, problem solved.
I did an autopsy on the old DMTL and found some cracks and the pump itself was running rough and noisy, I just thought it was normal. Once the new one was installed it was so quiet I thought it wasn't working!
