SF2000x5 is on a distinguished road
Though, a transmission, with all the moving components, is never guaranteed to last another 100k unless it's a new car haha I'd expect a used or even rebuilt transmission would last 60k/2-4 years.

In my case with a $4000 X5 4.4 a few years back, I didn't want to spend more than $500 getting the transmission repaired so I got rid of it for $1000.

1. Buy and install used? $1000 and 2 days
2. Buy rebuilt? $1500 + 2 days
3. Rebuild existing trans yourself? doesn't seem like the option here since OP didn't rebuild the valve body

OP $800 or so in, I'd probably grab a used transmission and install it with the rebuilt valve body.Anyway, let's here from him...
