This is what I had to lubricate on my X5, yes.
My right side was not.latching closed. So I had to spray it and the spring down inside the "hole" to ensure movement/proper function, then I lubed the left too and then uses spray lube down the latch cable that goes between the two latches as that one is prone to failure.
