So I was in the garage having a think and looking at the X5. Couple of issues arose as I gazed begrudgingly at the M57. First, where do you lift this thing from? I6 gas cars have the threaded tow hook insert right next to the engine oil filter housing. This one... who knows?

And second, I just realized (more remembered) the E70 has plastic fenders and so using the traditional engine support bar is not an option. After some googling, I saw that Schwaben makes a neat looking Xbar that would do the job, but... lol, I think I'll just use the engine hoist to temporarily lift it a little bit. HAH!!! Or, I could try to find something like this lying around in the garage,



Not likely.

Edit: Nevermind on point 1. Found the lifting hoop just behind the EGR. Duh, must being going blind as well as senile.
