Thanks to all so far, for the great information.
I found the interior lighting section. Using the BMW VIN decoder, I determined that I do have the lighting package. From what I see on the schematic, it looks like there is a module built into the overhead console switch panel. To save the hassle of figuring out if the stuck on lighting is signal (bus) or output (module) related, I'll just get a used switch panel for $20 and plug it in.
