I've yet to tow anything with it but probably will this summer when I move to KY. Unsure I want to tow my F30 up and over those mountains in the heat, but a uhaul box trailer should be fine. I'll fly back and drive the F30 up there.

If it helps, I tow a 4,000lb trailer over several mountain passes every summer -- have done it in 100 degree heat climbing up to about 5,500 ft. or so. There's one climb where I have it in third gear at 5,000+ RPM and wide open throttle for 5 or 10 minutes straight just trying to maintain speed, and can't even turn the AC off or the family complains

Honestly I think the manual transmission is better for that kind of stuff because it doesn't have a problem with high temps like an auto does. Make sure to use good oil and change it beforehand, that kind of service probably wears out your oil pretty quick.
