crystalworks is on a distinguished road
I would do the pan/filter, mechatronic sleeve, tube seals, and use Valvoline Maxlife full synthetic ATF for the fill. Cured my 2nd slow roll thud. And it was pretty severe. Been good for 20k miles now shifting like a new trans.

You could try just the pan/filter and Valvoline first if you want though. The fluid is not expensive (especially compared to ZF LG6) so wasting a drain/fill would not cost much.

PS: I would not use LG6. It's too thin on a high mileage trans unless you are doing all the seals and full service on the valve body.
