I agree if you want to play in the snow then get real snow tires!
All seasons won't cut it. They will get you by but you will have much better traction, stopping and turning with dedicated snows.
If you are spending 40-70K on a car and your family is in it then $1500 for a set of wheels with snows is well worth it.
