How deep are the scratches? Can you put your fingernail in them? Post pics! It sounds like you need to invest in a DA. Check Meguiar's thats what i use. If they are really bad the DA wont take them out and you will need to go rotary buff them or wetsand then buff with the rotary(The rotary or wetsanding is if you take it to a pro detailer who knows what they are doing If you havent used a rotary before dont try it on your hood). If they are REALLY BAD! Then you might not be able to get them out. If you plan to remove them by hand that is a lot of work!
