That won't affect your upgrade at all. HID highbeams are kind of useless, unless you live out in the country or something where you use them a lot.

When you flash the highbeams, the foglights turn off and back on realy quick, while the highbeams flash on and off real quick. The problem w/ HID highbeams, or even foglights is that the quick flashing is hard on the ballasts.

No offense against Tom because he's obviously helped out lots of members here and elsewhere, including myself, but just remember his opinion could be a little biased since he's here in order to make a profit.
