Both my E class and 3.0 X came with the MXV4's. Thought they were ok, but was never convinced of how good people claim them to be. I replaced the X's with ContiProContacts and easily outclassed the Mich in EVERY situation. On most surfaces, I don't hear a bit of road noise, just wind

. I was actually slowing down with these as opposed to the MXV4s. Don't know if I would get the same tire on the V8 but there you have my 2c
