Have had a WD 'Luxury Car' policy for almost a year. It covered my auto transmission failure with me paying only £50 as my deductible. Policy cost is just over £500 per year ($750USD) but has already paid for itself 4x over as the tranny rebuild was £2200 ($3340).

BMW GB never offered me any extended cover, but on my wife's E46 330CD Conv they quoted more than £850 ($1200) for one year and it only covered 'major' items. Her WD policy is around £400 pa.
