Thanks! I will try to take a few more pics and capture the real color. Having a hard time getting the color on pictures. Tried "No Flash" and didnt work. Im leaving town until next week, will try then.

Welcome! I recognize you from e60.net. I have no regrets and cant wait to get in and drive the X5 just as much as I did the 550. As i posted above, the only dissapointment for me was the starting of the engine, missing the sound of the 550, and it doesnt pull as violently from a stop as the 550 did when you gun it but, im comparing the 550 to an X5 35i and im also trying to keep under 4,000 RPMs for the break in. I feel theres still a lot more to tap into in the 35i. This obviously wont be a problem with the 50i you are thinking about.

The ride with adaptive drive and sport settings is VERY similiar to driving the 550. The pros, its a tank and gobbles up road imperfections, feels precise, very smooth (even w/20s), and i like the new ride height (SAV). The con, sometimes it feels like you are in a SUV, a little bouncy, just barely though and only on occassion. Im sure nothing like other SUVs (RX350, Ford Explorer - my experiences).

I had active steering in the 550i and have it in the new X5. I have a hard time driving cars without it now after 6 years. Loaners always feel like im driving a car with 2 flat front tires of the lot. The test drive in the X5 35i without AS, Sport PKG, and Adaptive Drive didnt feel as good to me as my new one and I was very happy with how everything came together on this as ordered. Good luck with your order!
