If these cars are in great shape, the dealer will want to take it as a trade so it won't matter. I've done 3 cars like this and they always want to buy it so they can put it on their lot to sell. If they lease end the vehicle, it must head to auction. So I guess the answer to your question would be, see if you can work a trade instead of lease ending it.
