Here is a pic of my vette for reference on color contrast that I think looks nice:
And there is even more contrast when you see it in person vs. the photo too.

C4racer;

This is the color combination I'm talking about!!!
Great responses from all! I thought I would take a moment to chime in..... From the beginning, I would have agreed with (sundayjumper and romeokc10); that is to say that I was not a fan of black/dark wheels. To me, either the look was too much like a cheap car sans hubcaps or someone neglected to clean the brake dust off their wheels.
.....But now, the gray wheels are really starting to grow on me. (especially after seeing the Black/Gray combo on my friend's $177k 2011 Audi R8 V10!!!)
In general, think BMWs look best when wearing agressively styled
BMW wheels. (I don't care for aftermarket wheels, no matter how expensive they are!). I was also beginning to tire of the 87's myself because everybody had them... however, BMW hit a homerun with their design of the 87 and for that reason, I keep going back to the them. IMHO, there is simply no better looking wheel suited for the X5.... which brings me to the facelift question;
Would 87's look out of place on a facelift? ...and would a 4.6is look out of place with a facelift?
Food for thought...
OK, back to the poll;
Facelift? Mixed reviews so far
AERO Kit? C'mon... Doesn't anyone like the aero kit?
Gray 87's? Mostly YES!
