well, my story got more interesting with some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that my tires are actually Bridgestone (rather than Dunlop), which has no manufacturers road hazard warranty. The good news is that after driving home from the BMW dealer, i can no longer find the screw in my tire, and my pressure has not changed.

Problem solved. If only everything worked out like this.
