Salutations du Canada!

Spending another couple days here at Mont Tremblant, hitting the slopes for winter break before spending a couple more days in Montréal. Not much snow this season yet so many of the fun trails are fermé but at least it's plenty cold to make it feel like winter (-6°C maximum today). The views are pretty sweet too.

I'll upload some more pics over the next few days. I find myself wishing I spoke French but oh well......already got German and Mandarin working for me. I still don't understand why grocery produce is sold in this unit called "pounds" and "ounces" , why the road signs don't look right (int'l signs, please), why the sales tax is not incorporated into the price, but I think I can forgive these foibles- French Canada is a fun place and cooler than Toronto *waits for the angry replies*. Everyone at the bar thinks I'm from Ontario

Gotta come back next time with friends instead of parents.

Just a few more pics (don't want to bore y'all). One of the many Christmas displays.

The nativity scene next to Notre Dame Basilica, after all it's what Christmas is all about.

Fruit Crépes............very delicious of course.

Poutine.........any Québécois knows the joy of this amazing fast food dish. . Had it........twice!

Lots of fun, but yeah, all holidays have to come to an end....... Back in the US today, where there's no good radio stations and the units of measure are all wrong (I kid you not, I still don't have an innate sense of what 500 feet is).To be honest, I think I've been to Canada 6-7 times already, it isn't even that international to me. Sometimes in spite of the short winter days and cold, I wonder if I could live in Canada, eh?
