I didn't find the airbag replacement to be a problem at all. In fact it's super easy. If you have already gone through the trouble of removing the wheel, tire, and strut assembly, swapping out the bag only takes about 5 more minutes. The instruction sheet from Arnott is very detailed with pictures and can be downloaded/viewed on their site.

No. In the fact, I replaced all front air struts with brand new oems, but I did not properly inflate the new air bags before I had the X down on floor. I then started the engine, the X inflated the air bags itself. According to the BMW TIS, it says the vehicle cannot stand on floor with deflated air bags, otherwise, the air bags or the struts must be replaced. That's why I am afraid of damaging my new air spring struts without properly inflated the air bags before having the X stand on floor.
