thank you JB...
Those trucks that ford the river ( I think it is river Ob or Oka, I did not
get much on it) are the same trucks that tried to pull that crazy dude that
blew his Porsche Cayenne - those trucks are designed to ford small creeks
but I never thought that they can ford a fast river like that. I rode in one
of those truck in 6 ft (it was deeper than my height, and i am 5'9") snow,
with no road in sight. The driver lowered the air pressure in the tires (it is 6x6) and
rode through virgin snow as if it was Promenade De Anglais in French
Riviera... I was worried that were going to get stuck there for hours but
everything worked out fine - he made a few donuts in the snow and then
returned to main path... lol... ggranted, the temperature was -35 Celcius, so snow was good and fluffy...
The guy in the British pursuit did show some elements of the evasive
driving - they teach us those tactics to avoid confrontation with mad mobs
that hate americans... But he sure was stupid to run from the cops...
The Russian guy was plain stupid - he was lucky that he engaged the PPS, the
patrolmen, who rarely use guns, and shot at him only after he ran over that
pedestrian - it it were russian OMON (Their SWAT), he would have been vaporized
long time ago....
I am not sure, i think i may have seen that blacked out X5 in moscow - on the other
hand, there were so many juiced up cars in moscow, that my stock 4.6iS
looked like a poorman's ride!!! My next door neighbor in moscow, who rode Bentley (he had a driver), thought that I was a hired driver to the owner of the X - I was changing my own winter/summer tires, dug under the hood... lol... I sure lost some prestige points in that neighborhood!!!!
Crazy!!!
