Thank you Wayne's World. Visually Dexron 6 differs from BMW adopted fluid. I think compared with the old OEM that was put in the tranny in 2005 and which is an outdated fluid, any good quality will work, especially when there is no problem with the tranny. But when there is a problem (shifting error for example). A new fluid might or might not help even when the fluid if fully flushed. Things may get worse as the new nice fluid may induce more slipping due to its viscosity and density. Unless the problem starts to be annoying (trans failsafe prog) I would not suggest to replaced oil and as a safety measure I would not use other than OEM fluid. All of this is based on reading a lots of posts regarding this issue & I just came to this conclusion. Have a nice day
