Gas vs Diesel

There's many factors to be considered to determine which car is more economical.
To begin, there's an always fluctuating price for a gallon of fuel, and it depends where you get it. It could be as much as $0.50 cents difference between a gallon of Premium and a gallon of Diesel.
Next, the percentage of highway miles will make a big difference, higher highway miles, more efficient a diesel vehicle.
The driver could make a huge difference, not two drivers will get the same mileage with the same vehicle.
The original price of the vehicle.
And the potential maintenance and repair cost.
I'm sure salesmen could make an argument in favor of either one, depending on his personal incentives.
Just my $.02
