SR7 DIY X5 3.D ( Front radar and laser only)

1.Locate the best place for the radar & laser from detector. Open the hood and screw both parts on to the bumper.

2.Route the cables to the right via the space of the light up to the front.

3.Follow the hood cable (A) .You can pop out the rubber and route them underneath ( B).

4.Take out in the drivers seat the plastic protection above the pedals, detach the light and some kind of speaker.. Once you’ve done this you can see with a flash light the rubber cap on the firewall. Try to take it out with out loosing it. ! ( Mine fell in).

5. Pop out the factory marked firewall access to the cabin. Route the cables in. Seal the firewall access. I used gaffer tape but I guess you can do a better job.

6.Now we are in the drivers seat.

a.Take out the center console side panels from the drivers side only .

b.Route the cables to the center console gap and place the SR7 hub there.

c.Now ho have to find a power source that works with the ignition. I used a cable in the mid display ( You can take it ou very easily removing 2 screws). If you do so it might be the moment to install on the mid the conceal display. ( See other web links for this). I connected the earth cable to the chasis.( A screw next to the pedals.

7.Make a hole in the cub holder. Big enough than you can pass the display cable. Then route the cable to the hub and now the display is done and concealed.

8.Route the remote mute via the hand brake to the hub. If you want to avoid being seen from outside put it in the right angle.

9.Snap & screw back the center console side panels and the front plastic cover ( snap on the speaker and the light and you are done.

10.Still have to work out the back laser….
