Cool Sometimes you have a good day at the dealer.

I took the X5 back to Isringhausen today to see if they could solve my ongoing BT phone issues. They swapped out mics repeatedly and checked all the connections, but they still couldn't improve the sound quality. While they were fiddling with the car, I went to Verizon and got a Razr for no cost as a New Every 2 upgrade. Bigger than Stuttgart, the Razr worked perfectly in my car. The BT sounds great now and all the options work. The dealer also fixed the rear liftgate creaking and replaced the microfilter, which smelled bad. I paid for 1/2 hour labor and the microfilter. Fair deal in my book. I like my X5 a lot better now than I did this morning.

He replaced the adjustable bumpers. I didn't think they looked bad, but you could clearly see they were worn when held side-by-side with new ones. He says it'll have to be done every 10k miles or so. Probably longer for me as I'll do 10k miles every 3 months.

Good to hear you are fixed up. But what's up with the 10k miles in 3 months?

110 mile r/t commute, plus weekend travel (although we're trying to stick to using my wife's Civic for that). The E38 I just traded in had 63k when I bought it two years ago and 148k when I traded it in last month.
