jsoto is on a distinguished road
OT: That ridge in the back of our wheels

OT....but you know that ridge on some of our wheel styles. In the back.
As much washing as I do, dirt gets accumulated in that ridge and the only way to get it out is giving it a good mechanical scouring.

Anyhow, was driving in some rain for a good period.
Give it the 1st official all out post winter wash....and the wheels in this area is actually quite clean. I had one wheel dismounted and was quite surprised to see NO build up. (I have not even used a wheel woolie to get inside the wheels since December- March of this year)

I guess the centripidal force of 60mph and constant water over a extended period of time does get the gunk out.
