I don't like the idea of dying these parts black as that's what this product does, I think (anyone feel free to correct me on that). I really like Aerospace 303 for that purpose. Try Froogling it and I'm sure you'll find it...

This is what I use. It works great and lasts a long time.

thanks...the only reason i bought back in black was because i heard it removes the wax residue stuck in the plastic? is this true?

If you mean Mothers Back to Black, that's not a dye, and it isn't strong at all. I've used it in the past and found that it works OK, but lacks durability. Forever Black is a permanent dye (as opposed to a dressing), and I stay away from that stuff. Perhaps that is what X5Jay may be referring to? There are so many black bumper & trim products out there...it gets confusing.
I've heard that Black Again is a good silicone/polymer based product, but I have no personal experience with it. It's supposed to be durable, and a good product for the "wax on the bumper" problem, provided that the surface is properly prepped. hayaku recommends first removing the wax from the bumper & trim using a "paint prep solution (pepsol or acrysol), 50/50 water/vinegar mix, alcohol/water, etc.," before applying the dressing of your choice. Link I've been using Griot's Vinyl & Rubber Dressing, which is non-silicone based, with good results. I find that is lasts somewhat longer compared to Back to Black. I've also heard very good things about Aerospace 303 and plan to give that a try when my current stock of products is depleted.

I can't keep 'em all straight, either, especially when I add a few of Zaino's "Z-Numbers" to the mix. I was never good at math.

Everyone kept raving about this Aerospace 303...so I had to try it. Ok, I'm convinced!
It brings back the deep black color of trim, leaves no residue to attract dust, and...most importantly...lasts a long time.
