what is the best DIY for restoring Leather Seats
No rips but the leather is ingrained. what it is needing is a cleaner to lift most of the dirt out and re stained is this something that can be done DIY or best to use a specialist. If DIY what products who you recommend. |

Hi Scottie -
How bad is it ? You can use Leatherique Rejuvinator Oil / Pristine Clean and then redye it. However, with the time & expense procuring these products ---WHY NOT replace the seatrest ? I have sport seats on my X5 and while it's really clean, the outside bolster is showing a little bit of unavoided wear. I plan to just replace the seatrest at some point myself.. |

well I'm thinking that buttonising (spelling) might be the answer.

Hi Scottie ,
Most on various uk based forums seem to recommend liquid leather. http://www.liquidleather.com/liquidl.htm Hope this helps

Just saw this. There is an article in recent Roundel mag on how to clean up the leather seats, among others. I believe in that article also they are cleaning the E36 seats. If still interested I can look up for you.
