Phil, Can I put on the Power Lock with any of the applicators you sell? Also, is the best way to remove it with a regular microfiber towel?

Phil,

Regarding the e46 platform, the plastic trim on the interior door pulls are notorious for cracking/wrinkling/peeling. Is there any product that can help prevent this?

Thanks.

if you can keep them clean with 1Z einszett cockpit it should help a bit. unfortunately I have seen plenty of e46's with bad interior trim.

Thank you sir. I wasn't aware this worked on those type of plastic parts. I picked up some of this from you in my last order, so I'll be sure to give it a try. I know that summer heat and UV rays are probably the main cause, but seeing as the drivers side door pull is the first part to start looking bad, the oil and dirt from use may be contributing to the problem as well.

Also, thanks for the advice on the Power Lock. It was really easy to apply and seems to be working really well. Water beads up like a champ. Same goes for the Sonax full effect wheel cleaner and the Optimum metal polish. Very happy with the products. Still waiting for a chance to use the Leather Master kit.

The pre-LCI E53 also had the door pull peeling problem. BMW was using some bad material at that time for door pulls. My Pre-LCI E53 X5 door pulls were replaced by dealer at no charge as there was a TB for it. No problem after that.

Yeah, our pre-LCI e53 has the issue where the paint has actually scraped/chipped off the door pulls from rings, etc. hitting it. This is more of a paint wrinkling issue from heat and possibly hand oils/dirt. Either way, also due to use of shabby materials.

Hey Phil--what wheel brush do you recommend to use on the 214 Style wheels to get to the back side of the lip (behind the spokes) ? It's hard to get back there. Thanks.

hey phil,

looking to order a random orbital and i want to start really learning the polishing process, etc. Which buffer do you recommend, and which products?

This is all pretty complicated to me, but i think i may be over complicating it.

Please let me know! ready to order from DD

Naz
