First time using Sonax PNS = wow!
Just want to let you know Phil and to forum members I just used Sonax PNS as my LSP on my wife's 2011 Rav4 yesterday, came out wonderful!
I clayed first and polished swirls and minor defects with SF4000 and Uber Green pad with my PC "O.G. edition" 7424. Some deeper defects remain (which I could use FG400 on), but I wasn't going to do a full correction as its the middle of January. Swirls are gone and left a smooth surface to apply Net Shield. I will say, the first time you use it, after being used to the liquid sealant application of Menzerna Power Lock for the past 5 years, is definitely "different". The applicator with product on it, being spread on a dry surface tends to grab a bit at first, but no big deal. It's because this is a totally different product than Power Lock. Using the Uber hex grip applicator and went accordingly to your directions, sprayed on the pad, cross hatch pattern on a small section, and immediately buffed. It takes a little more arm work than removing residue of Power Lock, but the shine is just as good if not better. I'm going to do a second coat on her car next time its warm again (I'm a 2 coats kinda guy lol!), but you can definitely tell that Net Shield is probably the closest thing you can get to a coating, without investing in one. So to summarize, coming from Menzerna Power Lock for the last few years, Sonax Polymer Net Shield is: -Easy to apply, great shine, durability is yet to be determined but I expect 6 months of protection out of it based on other reviews -Takes a little more elbow grease at removing residue as opposed to a liquid paint sealant that hazes, as the polymers in the can ACTUALLY HARDEN when they are exposed to the air -Follow Phil's video on the DD website for application and follow it to a T, and you will have great results -Make sure you use a Hex grip applicator, much easier for application!

It definitely requires a little bit more effort to wipe away compared to Power Lock residues, not too bad though. Two totally different products so I expected it. Don't get me wrong, PNS is a new favorite of mine and very easy to use, I love the aerosol. And sadly, no photos, my wife had to go out to run errands and the salty NJ roads do no justice to her car now Looks like I'll have to wait until the next time I'm able to give a proper wash, I'll post a photo then!

Phil,
I'm deciding between Paint Protection Films. I've heard awesome things about XPEL Ultimate, any experience with it? Would you recommend it over another brand?
