Strong-Struts Stut Bar

Hey Gang -

Just trying to get a head count for those that may be interested in a strut brace for your X. Pricing will be approx $400 for a complete strut unit with the decorative machined holes included. Finish will be black or possibly powdercoated silver. Please drop me a PM or EMAIL so I can start keeping track on a excel spreadsheet. It's MUCH easier than wading through 50 different thread responses. Ideally, I'm shooting for a target of 15 peeps but the more the merrier as pricing reflects the # of struts commited.

NOTE - Struts will have to be pre-paid in full and the vendor commits to deliver within 30 days from the time of payment.

As of today, there have only been 3 people that were interested in joining this group buy. I will let this thread run another 1.5 weeks . If there are not enough interested parties for a production run, I will just cancel this.

JUst thinking outloud but if I was able to get this pricepoint LOWERED down to $365, would there by anyone else interested in this group buy ? I have yet to ask the vendor .......

yes, piece of cake to install it. just remove the 3 strut tower nuts on top, put the bar on and put the 3 strut tower nuts back on and torque to 18 ft-lbs.

on the passenger side, just remove 2 10mm nuts to move the winshield washer resevior out of the way while you work on the strut bar.. after that, put it back in, hand tight...

should be 15 mins of work really...

That Z3 logo is just the emblem off the car, so I assume you can just order a set for the X5 from the dealer.

Hopefully, Strong-Strut can design a bar that doesn't need modification to the washer resevior!

What if you already have camber plates installed? Will they affect the installation procedure or are they not even associated with this...?
