You'll need a premier membership to make this work.

These just need to be used in an area with good roads, and ALWAYS run a few PSI above recommended pressure (36 to 38 PSI). NYC is no place for low profile wheels or underinflated tires.
Back in the late '90s, a co-workers E36 M3 used to crack/break OE wheels regularly (at least 1 a yr), in the NYC/Queens/Long Island area.

OP, any picks on vehicle?
Details, offsets, weights, was runout repaired (bent) or did they check OK? Pic of HRE repair invoice showing work done? Pics of tread surfaces? Your location is X5World so I guess that means local pick-up.

Not that it means much, but area code 713 is Houston.

I ran 20" HRE 640s on my X5 for 8 years with no issues. Any low profile setup is susceptible to impact damage from poor road conditions. Common sense dictates that you be vigilant about proper tire inflation and driving speeds appropriate for the road conditions.

In the 3-4 years I had them, I sent in at least 2 Wheels Per Season to get new outer/inner halves replaced. When I had to send in a wheel 3 times in one season, it broke the camels back. So, let's say $20 to dismount tire, $40 to mount and balance, $45 to ship the wheel back (that's not including packaging materials or time),
$180-$200 for the repair and another $45 to ship back, etc etc. I have not had that experience with the OEM 20's, nor the various fully forged wheels I've had. Never will run a spun halves on any car ever again, not even a lighter coupe/sedan Last edited by jsoto; 07-29-2014 at 06:19 PM. |

pick up in houston texas area or i will ship at buyers expense.
i understand about the premier membership and do apologize. but this is the only things i have left from our X5. if they sale through the site ill gladly make a donation. the wheels had been curbed by a porter, when i last took the car to the dealer for service. long story. anyway they(bmw dealer) sent the wheels out to be repaired(hre). runout checked good, i do not have offsets but they are made for 00-current x5 models as well as x6. meaning they have a larger bore size and when used with proper bmw lugs hub centric is not needed. i ran these wheel for 4yrs no problems. i can get more details from HRE by obtaining the serial number from the hub face. htey can then provide me all the info when this wheel was made. forgot to add wheels do come with lugs, tire rack bags, tpms sensors.
