Staggered 20's

I'm looking to change from 18's to 20's on my 01' X5, but because of the crappy roads in my area, I'm a little concerned about sidewall/wheel damage. It seems most people with 20" staggered wheels run 275/40/20 up front and 315/35/20 in the rear. I was wondering if anyone has used the following combination 265/45/20 front and 295/40/20 on the rear? The diameter of the 265/295 tires are slightly larger than the 275/315, but don't know if it is enought to cause any problems. Any thoughts or advice would be helpful. Thanks.

We don't recommend the 265, but I'm not sure why..... I'll have our tech department run that size and let you know on Monday.......

Thanks, I know there is a slight difference in the OD between the 265 and 295, but not sure if it was enough to create a problem.

Thanks Doc, you don't see that tire combination, or at least I haven't, so I wasn't sure if it was do able.

The 265 has a rim width range of 8.5" to 10" , so just double check the wheel.......
