e53 wheels on e70??

Someone with a e70 4.8 wants to buy my new set of type 69 18" wheels that I have for his winter setup.

Will they fit ?

According to my information size, offset and center bore would be ok but the dealer is telling him no.

My wheels are 18x8.5 with ET:43

"Ok" as in close, but wheel bore hole is slightly diff from the
E53 to the E70:
-Wheel bore on E53 wheels is 72.56 mm
-Wheel bore on E70 wheels is 74.1

A good machinist could probably enlarge your E53 wheel bore
to match the E70, but YMMV.

On a similar note will the e70 21s fit on our e53s?
