535d GT - Plans? Diesel marketability?
Are there plans in bringing the 535d GT over to NA market at all? Also, how is the diesel sales doing in relations to the overall lineup? Is the marketability still a big hinderance for NA market's relative exclusion of several of the diesel models?

I have no specific inside information, but I suspect that there are limited opportunities for this model in North America.
While the X5d has done fairly well in the reported sales figures, the 3 series diesel has not. I don't know how the 335d sales figures compare to BMW's expectations, but they have even stopped putting the numbers in their monthly sales reports. My suspicion is that the numbers are pretty small. Add in the lower volumes of the 5GT, and it seems like it would be very expensive to certify the 535dGT, amortized over the expected volumes. I think if BMW want to sell more diesels in passenger cars, they need to bring in the 20d in the X1, X3, and 3 series. That could build some volume.

Do we have the 535d yet for the sedan here?
Has there been much interest in the 5GT? What have you heard in the field that would impede consumers to choose diesel? I wonder if it's still an Old School mentality of the diesel of old... which would make the new commercial somewhat applicable

No 535d for the sedan.
Doesn`t appear to be much interest out there in the 5GT. I mainly hear jokes about it. I have seen a few on the street. Personally I like the concept, but then I liked the Rover 3500 and SAAB 900 as well. I would be more likely to buy a 3GT than a 5GT myself, because the 5 is getting too large for me. I don`t think the diesel has a compelling value proposition yet. If they sold the 20d here, they could more easily demonstrate the value, but with the 35i performing so well, the 35d is in the shadow. The new 28i (4 cylinder 2.0 litre twin scroll turbo) will make it even harder for the diesel to succeed, IMO. I`d still think about a 20d in an X1 or X3.

I would buy a 535D in a heartbeat. But that just me. I like the way oil burners roll.
