Wheels on my M5

Yes...I'm an Imola freak...I used to be an Alpine-White freak, but have migrated and may soon swing back to Alpine. I'm fickle that way. The wheels on my M5 are called STERN. they are 19 x 9.5 in the rear and 19 x 8.5 in the front. Most importantly, they are hub centric. They look really good and, surprisingly, were less than $2,000 to fit on the car.

Thanks, to everyone, for the kind commentary and compliments. I'm super-geeked up. Saturday is my delivery date, due to my schedule and I'm counting the hours

Thanks for sharing i always wondered how that process took place. I never knew they had that protective coating from the factory that makes it look dull like that. Very interesting

Sang: I had no idea they were Japanese...I wanted 19 x 10's in the rear, but with the offset, these Stearns @ 19 x 9.5" fit the bill and gave a good (deep) appearance.

Next step: Exhaust. I'd like headers, but I'm not about to throw down $3k-$5k for a set of headers...

exhaust.. abosolutely no question about it.. Tubi Rumore is the way to go. As for headers, I had superspints and before and after dyno showed a significant jump in HP and it's HP you can feel. (21hp jump) Beast power has the headers for $2400 last time I checked when it was on "special"

Yes...Offering an exhaust on 'special' for $2,400 is a contradiction in terms In fact, it is axe-murder in some states I could go a step further and stipulate that amount as being larger than the GNP of some 3rd/4th world countries, but that would be hyperbole.

I'd love to come across a Dinan setup from headers to exhaust...Preferably used....But even then, I can see that being on the order of $2500-$4000.
