e46 M3 for M Coupe Trade

One quick question .... and dont flame me ... but I do alot of Moutain Biking. I have the BMW Bike Racks for my M3, and they work great. They attach to the top of the roof. Does the M Coupe have similar mounts. I suspect not ... ? I wonder if they make any type of rack mount for the coupe .. ? Hows the rear trunk space ... pretty bad too I suspect !?
I would trade in the e46 M3, any day, if given a shot at the M Coupe. Don't get me wrong, I love the M3. It's just not an M Coupe---which sounds like an obvious thing to say---but it doesn't compare in any category. The engine may be the S54 but that's where the comparisons begin and end. Two totally different enchilada's.

Roof mounts for a bike: Not on the Z4 M Coupe. The car comes from the Bangle-School-of-Sculpting-and-Smoothing. I wouldn't even know where to start when it came to mounting a bike rack.

Thank you, very much, my friend...I've since (SHOCK) ordered a white M Coupe and have put this one on Ebay. Seriously. I decided that I wanted to go with Alpine white. Now the wait. Four damned months. Maybe five. BMW cannot keep up with world-wide demand for the M Coupe.

Interesting... All of your current cars are Imola Red, but you don't like your Imola Red M coupe? I guess if you're going to change your mind, no better time than the present with a newly introduced, high demand vehicle. However, I can understand it. I bought nothing but red cars in the 70's and 80's, then got tired of it. There are only a few vehicles that look good in red. But IMHO, the Imola Red M coupe looks just fine.

So how do you avoid taking a financial hit?

For the longest time, everything I owned was a variation of Alpine White: e30 M3, e30 325is, e36 M3, X5 3.0, et al. Then I went Imola/Hella/Hellrot...Now I think I'm swinging back to white. It's an expensive preference to be sure (one way or the other other). That being said, I expect to take some hit/some loss. Less is better

Chris
