3-series vs. MB C-class side-by-side comparo

Autobild did this comparo. Although the C-class is Avantgarde model with AMG kit. The regular C-class has tristar on hood.

Looks like the C class had sport/pseudo AMG package while the 3 had nada, not fair for a pictoral comparison...

From the headlight, to the crease across the side, to the rear decklid, MB has shamelessly copied the E90. The MB doesn't look bad, but they totally messed up how that grill just drops down so sharply. The result is blaaand.

Also notice how the MB's got the whole AMG deal, while the 3er's got it's dainty non-sport wheels. Yes...wheels make/break a design. Stick the M-Sport kit on the 3 and we'll be talking. If you're going to do a comparo, gotta make it accurate.

And yes, that Benz interior is the tackiest looking thing this side of a...Chrysler.

I really like the new C. They're very different.. The 3 is more swoopy and streamlined, the C has the chunky german look. The massive Mercedes star on the grille looks out of place. Tone it down. The interior of the C is hideous. It looks very Volvo-ish. The nav is very similar.

Comparison with at least the aero kit on 3-series would have been better.

Whoever designed that C-class interior needs to be shot. They were clearly fishing in the GM parts bin, and thought the vertical window switch position on the 5-series was a good idea.
