Is the 330i really this fast?

I came across this vid of an E46 330i...is it really this fast? Both in acceleration and top speed.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...1249088&q=330i

(btw, there was an awesome video of a e90 330i on the Autobahn....can't find it anymore...anybody seen it?)
edit: answering my own question: link

prob not modded b/c the redline wasnt bumped up any. most engine software would bump it up at least 500rpm. not to be an ass but you know thats in Km/hr and not MI/hr right?

If I remember correctly, the 330i ZHP was rated 0 - 60 in 5.9 seconds. A few tenths faster than the 330i. So yes, the car actually is that fast, but I highly doubt the speedo is accurate when pinned.

No, it's most definitely not, in fact I topped one out last night responding to a personal emergency, it is much slower than the one in the video

you are comparing a US version to a Euro version.

Euro cars are speed limited to 250 km/hr or 155 mph. Top speed on a stock E46 330i ZHP is 152 mph drag limited. And of course, it's a well-known fact that Bimmer speedometers are overly optimistic. Is it possible for an E46 to top out at 260 km/hr? With a few minor mods, absolutely.
