Which 335i am I driving??

I got a shiny blue 335i loaner from the dealer today when I dropped off my X5 for a 30K mile service. The loaner paperwork says it's a 2007 model. I'm wondering if this is the one with the twin-turbo V6, or was that not available on the 2007? All I know is it's fast as all hell and throws me back in my seat when I gun the throttle. The acceleration is unreal. I didn't bother to look under the hood yet since I was in a hurry to get to work.

The 335i is a twin turbo I6. 2007 or 2008, all of them are.

Hence the smiles on the faces of all those of us who have purchased a 335 or 535. You should try it with a 6 speed manual

The rear trunklid? It just says "335i", nothing else.

So I just ran out to the parking garage and popped the hood. There's nothing in there that says "turbo", and I totally suck at deciphering engines. But I took a pic with my cell phone, so maybe that will be enough for you boys to know if it's the twin turbo.

Again, the 335 only comes as a turbo!

There is no NON turbo 335.

Also - if you look at the tail pipes there should be two pipes sticking out. That's how you can distinguish from the rest of the e9x fleet, if it has not been modified.

Yep, two pipes, one on each side. Dealer just called, said they need to keep my X5 an extra day for the wheel alignment. So I get to play with the 335 toy for another day!

Going to be weird to go back to my naturally aspirated engine after this.
